Don’t major in minor things. When I first began, I would work 10 hours a day with little results to show. Rather than focusing on activities that drove sales, I would focus on the minor stuff. I would tweak the buy button, change the font type/size… basically invest my time in non-essential stuff.
Fast forward today, I take the 80/20 rule very seriously. I begin each day by delegating non-sales activities to my project manager… then work strictly on sales and business development activities.
If you’re not making waves despite working long or even short hours… relook at your daily activities, make a conscious shift to work on major stuff.
